Job Description
Our shop is looking for someone 18 or older to work approximately 15 to 25 hours per week with more hours available by providing full-service baths. The shifts are primarily closing shifts 2:30 to 7:30. WEEKEND AND CLOSING SHIFTS ARE REQUIRED.
This is often a VERY fast-paced job that requires a great deal of physical endurance, the ability to move and work quickly, and a keen ability to prioritize the tasks at hand.
Job description: Assist customers and their dogs, demonstrate the dog wash routine for first-time customers, clean tubs continuously throughout the day, run the cash register, answer the phone, wash/fold towels, mix shampoos and fill shampoo bottles, price retail and stock shelves, and help with various other projects in order to maintain a clean/organized shop at all times. First priority will always be assisting customers in whatever way necessary and ALWAYS with a friendly attitude. You will be required to clip dogs' toenails and to provide full-service dog bathing.
Requirements: We are looking for an energetic, cheerful, industrious, and extremely dependable individual who has excellent customer service skills. This person must have the ability to lift heavy objects (dog steps and heavy dogs), and a love of animals! We prefer someone that has experience clipping dogs' toenails, but would consider someone willing to learn. This individual must be capable of learning and providing full-service dog washing services.
Job Type: Part-Time, Approximately 15 to 25 hours per week
Salary: $18 per hour plus tips without toenail expertise. Once toenail clipping is mastered and you can run the shop independently, the rate goes to $18.50/hr. Including tips you can generally expect to gross anywhere from $23 to $28 per hour. I will always guarantee $23/hour if the tips don’t meet that threshold on any one pay cycle (Including the $18 base pay rate)
